Creeyate Audio Engineering Program

Audio Engineering Afterschool Enrichment

Based on the adage, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime", Audio Engineering provides a platform for training young musicians to record their own songs instead of paying for studio time. Having collaborated with artists including Andy Grammer, Chase Rice, Kate Voegele, Augustana, and J-Hart, Shannon is well-versed in his knowledge of music production.

Billing and Scheduling

All billing and scheduling for each session can be handled via a online calendar that can be shared between the participating partner school and Creeyate.

Shannon came up with the idea of skyping for lessons. Gaines did his first lesson last weekend and really enjoyed it. I was concerned what might be lost in translation, but Gaines assures me it worked well.

I love not having to schlep Katie to a lesson. I don’t claim to know much about music instruction, but Shannon had Katie playing a Taylor Swift song after her first couple of lessons.

The most important thing about Shannon is how wonderful he is with his students. He is encouraging, positive, patient & so very talented in the ways in which he teaches . You can see that he truly cares about his students and wants them to reach their full potential. He is skilled at assessing what type of music interests each individual student and uses those songs in lessons.
— Lee, Mother of Charlotte Latin School Student
He’s such a natural with kids of all ages—his love for the guitar and music in general is as contagious as his joyous, fun, energy level.
